The Sweet Gift

One Morning, a girl named Sandy was waiting for her mum in a field.

She was ten years old and was very special too.

Later the same day, there was a little tooth fairy that came out of a tree.

It was where she lived.

Her name was Sagini.  She did not know what
to do next so she went and asked her mum.

When Sagini went to fly back to her mum at the tree,
she accidentally bumped into her mum's cheek.

"I'm sorry, mum," she apologised to her mum. "Is it sore?"
"Yes," bellowed her mum.
When Sandy changed her clothes, she looked up in the tree and saw two little legs sticking out of the leaves.  "I wonder what that could be up there," she asked herself.
When Sagini and her mum came out of the tree, they saw Sandy looking at them.
"Please don't hurt us," Sadina said scaredly to Sandy.  "It's okay, I won't harm you," Sandy said gently and sweetly to Sadini.
Sadini was getting a bit used to Sandy, but still a little nervous.  She flew gently down to her hand and introduced herself.
"I'm Sadini," she said.
"And I'm Sandy," Sandy replied.
"What sort of games do you like to play?" asked Sadini.
"I like to play board games, outdoor dames and with my friends."
"Am I like a friend now?" Sadini asked.
"Yes," said Sandy, smiling.

Sandy lived in a big house that was 250 years old.
Sandy and Sadini went into Sandy's room.  She threw Sadini on her bed like they were both having fun.
"So this is your bedroom?" asked Sadini
"Yep, that's right," said Sandy.  So Sandy and Sadini played in the bedroom for half an hour.

Sadini's mum was getting a bit worried about her because she didn't know where she was.  "Sadini!" she shouted, "where are you?"
"Won't your mum be worried about you?" asked Sandy.
"I don't know, Sandy, but I'm having so much fun here," said Sadini excitely.
"I think you should go back outside and find your mum, Sadini, she might be looking for you everwhere."
"I think she might be in our hole," said Sadini.
"She could be," said Sandy.

"Hello! Are you in there?" they shouted, but there was no reply.
"Where is she?" said Sadini sadly.
"I don't know, Sadini, but she has to be somewhere around here," said Sandy.
"What's that over there, coming towards us?" asked Sandy.
"I think it's my mum," squealed Sadini.
"It is your mum, it is," said Sandy happily.
"Where were you, darling?" asked Sadini's mum.
"I was playing with Sandy in her room, mum," said Sadini.
"Please don't run away like that ever again," said Sadini's mum, holding her hands.
"I won't," replied Sadini.
Sandy and Sadini were so happy to find Sadini's mum that they both had lots more fun together.
In the next ten minutes they were all tired out so Sandy let Sadini and her mum have a little rest in the tree.
"Bye," said Sandy with tears of joy. "I'll never forget you both".

The accompanying pictures are lovely and I especially liked the one with the hands.
Hey! I live in a 250 year old house, too. It's in the US. I wish there were fairies here. Maybe there are and I just don't see them.

That's a lovely story Amy. I'm glad I'm one of your fans and can read your stories.
I've never seen a tooth fairy although they have visited our house quite regularly to bring money in exchange for my son's teeth. Perhaps I need to have a closer look in the big trees in our garden?
